Alabama women's basketball fends off Georgia comeback effort in SEC tournament, 74-62

In early January, Alabama women’s basketball took a double-digit halftime lead in Athens as the Crimson Tide came close to upsetting Georgia at home. The Bulldogs eventually came back to win, stunning Alabama and defending their ranked status.

Alabama was not going to let that happen again.

On Day 2 of the SEC Tournament, No. 11 seed Alabama brought their best basketball to Bridgestone Arena, taking a solid first-half lead over the No. 6 seed, Georgia. The Crimson Tide managed to fend off the Bulldog’s comeback efforts, winning 74-62.
