MIAMI — The FAU men’s basketball team hit the road to win their first straight game over the FIU Panthers 71-51 on Thursday.

The win extended a historic streak for FAU (17-13, 10-7 C-USA) as the Owls extended their best Conference USA win total to 10.

Another milestone is that the Owls clinched their fourth straight winning season, the first in program history.

Head coach Dusty May said the results they’ve achieved over the past two seasons have been a cooperative effort and they always expect more.

“So we have much higher goals than where we are now. But with the people in our program, we feel that we are definitely going in the right direction.
